Pink Yoga Pants are most favorite for Bollywood Actress Aishwarya Rai. For a long time I had very mixed feelings about yoga. That could have happened to anyone who was just six years old and witnessed an almost naked Indian yogi on television, contorting his body every which way with two beautiful students in the background in yoga pants. The stark contrast was simply astonishing and left a deep mark in my memory.
Here was this man from another culture and another world with his groin tightly packed in a white linen cloth, ‘standing’ on his hands with his legs crossed behind his neck. On the other hand, there were these beautiful, princesses in pretty pink yoga pants gracefully arching their bodies through fluid arcs. I grew up wondering if one of these things was yoga, how could the other one be too; the mixed emotions always surfaced when the term yoga was mentioned in front of me, trepidation being the foremost of them.

No matter how I felt about yoga, the pink yoga pants were something that I always wanted to get in order to emulate those princesses who had captivated my childhood imagination. However, Bollywood Actress Aishwarya Rai one of those people who spend only on what they need rather than what they want. That is the reason I never ended up buying a pair for myself. May be it was a kind of defense mechanism against something that sent chills up my spine: if I did not have any yoga pants, I would not be doing any yoga and twisting my body in all those painful and odd positions.

Then, one beautiful summer morning, while I was sitting and reading under a tree in the park, a miraculous thing happened. I lifted my eyes from the book while stretching my neck and saw the two pink yoga pants princesses step right out of my childhood dreams and onto the jogging track in front of me. These two girls looked exactly like the ones I had seen in the television show. My first impulse was to get up and run; I figured if the princesses in pink were here, the contortionist in the linen cloth couldn’t be far off.

I got up so suddenly, and probably had such a petrified expression on my face, that the two girls looked at me and gave me reassuring smiles as they jogged away. That calmed me down. As Bollywood Actress Aishwarya Rai yearningly looked at their yoga pants while they disappeared into the track bend, for the first time in my life I realized that it was not necessary to buy and wear yoga pants only if you were a yoga practitioner; you could wear them while doing any sort of light activity, or even while doing no activity at all.

You see, it’s the same thing as saying ‘tennis elbow.’ Tennis elbow is a term used to describe a certain kind of injury to the elbow which is most common in tennis players but not restricted to them, sportsmen of all sorts can get it. Likewise, yoga pants is a term that describes a part of the gear that is most commonly worn by yoga practitioners but its use is in no way restricted to them, all kinds of mere mortals who do not indulge in the activity can wear them too, and do in them whatever tickles their fancy.

So, if you are someone like me who has always wanted a pair of those really comfortable pink yoga pants, but has refrained from getting them because all the yoga you know is stretching your aching back after waking up, just start calling them ‘anything goes pants’ and go get yourself a pair. I know I am getting one.
