It comes packed with full Querty keyboard and looks are similar to blackberry. Accessing the social network websites is just made easy with the LG GW300. Design
The LG GW300 has been provided with wider 2.4inch display, which offers good resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and supports 256K colours. Display may not be big comparing with other rival phones, but delivers fine quality pictures. The display adjust itself to landscape and portrait orientation. The best part is that it has good sunlight legibility. The LG GW300 is available in many bold colours like pink, black, orange, blue. It measure 115.5 x 61 x 12.8 mm, slim, it can comfortably fit almost every packet. This phone is coated with plastic, so it weighs 95gram, feels very light at hand. The weight and size gives the perfect form factor. The phone appeals to be pretty attractive, solid and gives sturdy feeling in hand. It comes with a nicely designed full querty keyboard. The ergonomics and design of the phone are truly appreciable. Though keys appear to be small, but they are manageable. There are 6 buttons around the D-pad, may look bit clumsy, but they give youthful look. The keys are extra thumb able, so offering easier user interface. It possess small sized END/CALL buttons, which are little clumsy. The LG GW300 has a good user freindly four-row full querty keyboard with best touch orientation. The background lighting enhances easy typing in the dark. The dedicated shortcut has been provided to the messaging options.
Volume rocker and microSD slot has been placed on the left-side of the mobile. The ports have a plastic covering, which avoid dirt and dust to enter into the port. The phone supports up to hopping 16GB microSD support, which lets you to store thousands of data, music and videos.
A camera shutter key has been provided on the right side of the mobile. This may not be needed, as the camera doesn’t posses Auto focus, D-pad would be enough.
The microUSB support and a standard 3.5mm audio jack have been provided on the top of the gadget. The microUSB can be used to data transfer and as well as charging the mobile. The Camera and speaker are present at the back of the mobile. Camera has a modest resolution of 2 megapixel resolution and sadly, it doesn’t have flash and autofocus feature, you cannot capture picture in the dark.
Specifications
The LG GW300 has new innovative non-touch flash based user interface. This time LG have included ‘LiveSquare’ in this phone, which improves the user interface. The transitions and animation effects as part of the user interface are simply awesome. The user interface is fast and responsive. You may experience some lag while you are using 16GB memory card. But it works well with 4GB memory cards. It offers modest internal memory of 15MB, not so well.

The LiveSquare homescreen is the significant change made over its predecessors. The live screen will record your recent communications. You can customize the notification for missed events or messages or calls by using different photos and animations. The livesquare is a fun. You can reset the livesquare to log new things. You can view the complete communication history with the grey colour key provided at the bottom.

The LG GW300 comes with a task manager which let you to run several native apps including Java apps at a time, quiet easily and effortlessly. The LG GW300 handles the calls nicely; it supports both Speed dialing and smart dialing. The voice clarity and signal reception are stupendous.

The LG GW300 offers usual messaging options; there is shared editor for SMS, MMS and email. Sending, editing, sharing and deleting the emails are very easy. And setting up the email account task is also hassle free. It supports both IMAP4 and POP3. The email size is limited to 1MB.It lacks both document and PDF viewers, so it is not possible to view zip, PDF and MS Office files on the LG GW300.

Accessing social websites like Orkut, Facebook are rather quick and convenient. The LG GW300 comes with music player, which supports most of the music formats such as MP3, MP4, eAAC+ and WMA. You can play the music while it is minimized, but you can control it. The music quality is superb and loud. It comes with preloaded with equalizer which boosts the sound. There is a video player, supports MPEG4, 3GPP, WMV, H.264 and H.263 Video Formats. But it will not support DIVX and XVID formats.

It also has FM radio with built-in antenna, play the FM without ear jack. FM radio can store up to 50 radio channels. But it doesn’t have RDS feature, you can’t control it while it is in minimized mode, much like music player.
It is equipped with shabby 2 megapixel camera. In spite of having good resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels, camera captures pictures with poor quality. There is no protection for the camera lens, it has no flash and aufocus feature. The GW300 camera captures only video clips having QCIF resolution. Video quality is not up to the mark.
Connectivity
It supports Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE and USB. It does not support the 3G, Wi-Fi, WLAN and infrared. Since it has low internal memory of 15MB, the LG GW300′s web browser is not so fast and convenient. It has support WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML to establish connection with World Wide Web. Internet options are bit modest, relatively to good comparing with its cost.
Battery
The LG GW300 is powered by standard Li-Ion (900mh) battery. it provides good battery life i.e. 5 hours of talktime and 400 hours of standby time. You can use this mobile continuously for three days. There is dedicated key, which ejects the battery cover smoothly.
Final word
The LG GW300 is a good looking, mid range economical phone. It has lot of features in its kitty like full Querty keyboard, wider display, Radio, Music, memory storage, internet, accessing the Orkut and Facebook, and camera. It comes at a price of just $140.
